Somebody Had The Right Idea

a red plastic chair
on metal legs
waiting there alone
by a cool emerald stream
warm dappled light
in the clean fresh air
calls a solitary soul
to pause and ponder
the good old days
the bad new days
a longing for
much better days

a red plastic chair
on metal legs
cannot be the answer
but can be a comfort
in that warm dappled light
in that fresh clean air
where a solitary soul
might find some peace
a place to rest
a place to plan
a life to live
in better days
